The fledging social media site started in 2005 with $5K and 15 visits on their first day, now the site gets over 50,000 hits per day!
To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the fashion website mainstay, a uber cool bash was held at Broadway East a funky bar in NYC’s Chinatown. With a range of bloggers, fashion designers and hipster types bopping away to the likes of David Bowie, Billy Idol, Phoenix and The Runaways, the tinsel and mirror ball decked lounge was positively pumping.
Madewell clothing provided stylists and clothes to play dress-ups, just like a real 5-year-old (with step and repeat and photographer as added incentive). Redken stylists also provided hipster hair styling.
Guesst sipped on organic (so NY!) vodka courtesy of Kanon Organic Vodka, with two speciality cocktails for the night – spiked cucumber lemonades and pineapple iced teas. Don’t know what organic vodka is meant to do, but after a few of those everyone was dancing all over the brick-lined hallways!
