On Wednesday 24 March, 2010, uptown hair Salon Ziba celebrated 20 years of business! An eternity in the ever-changing beauty landscape of Manhattan.
The name Ziba means “beautiful” and the mission at Salon Ziba, New York, has been to make beautiful hair effortless and affordable. The international team of stylists specialize in all hair types to accommodate a diverse clientele, including models and entertainers.
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, all of these stylists were on hand at a full-to-the brim party held at their store. The RSVP’s were full weeks in advance, that is how in demand these invites were, and with good reason. The salon was turned into a girly paradise of free manicures, pedicures, make-overs and blow-outs accompanied by girly pink cupcakes and sake and vodka concoctions. While the venue was packed, the wait was swift, with both my girlfriend Pia and myself getting fabulous curls done in our hair, that we both managed to make last another 3 days!
Also nicely done were the goody-bags which were handed out upon entry ensuring no mad scrambling at the end of the night. Full size products were in abundance, such as Revlon false eyelashes, Moroccan hair oil, Manage free shampoo and Ziba produced dry shampoo.
